Baylor ranked No. 12 in first release of CFP Top 25
In the first release of the 2019 College Football Playoff rankings, the Baylor Bears (8-0) checked in as the No. 12 team in the country.
The inclusion in the Tuesday rankings is the first time for the Bears to be in the CFP rankings since receiving the No. 17 ranking in week 15 of the 2015 season. Receiving the highest ranking in the history of the CFP, the 2014 Baylor Bears peaked at No. 5 in the final ranking of the regular season.
Currently sitting on top of the Big 12 standing with a perfect 5-0 mark in league play, just ahead of 4-1 Oklahoma, Baylor is ranked No. 10 the Coaches Poll and No. 11 in the Associated Press Poll.
Matt Rhule’s Bears return to action on Saturday at 11 a.m. CT when they travel to Fort Worth to take on the TCU Horned Frogs (4-4).
