Baylor’s victory over Kansas last Saturday evening came without three projected starting offensive linemen, a trio that has combined for 55 starts in their careers and 71 games played.
All seniors, Xavier Newman-Johnson, Blake Bedier and Jake Burton were expected to start at center, right guard and right tackle in week one, but because of a one-game suspension of Newman and undisclosed reasoning for Bedier and Burton, none participated in the game.
