Goran Dragic, reached a buyout agreement with the Spurs on Tuesday. Hopefully the Mavs get a looksee from him. They have several Europeans on the roster

Remember when we were going all out to get this guy? He's available....

The Los Angeles Lakers will waive DeAndre Jordan to sign DJ Augustin.

The Lakers wanted to add a veteran point guard with shooting ability to back up Russell Westbrook.

Dallas hurting without Luka, may not be back for 2 or 3 either. They have to find a way to win at least one of these without him

Jalen Brunson had 31 points to lead seven Dallas players in double figures as the Mavericks beat the Utah Jazz, 126-118, to take a 2-1 series lead in their first-round playoff series. Dallas had not won at Utah since April 11, 2016, in a span of 11 regular-season games.

The Mavs are still without star Luka Doncic, who has missed the first three games of the series with a calf strain. Dallas remained hot from 3-point range, hitting 18-of-42 (42.9 percent) while the Jazz connected on just 9-of-28 from 3.

Spencer Dinwiddie had 20 points for Dallas and Maxi Kleber added 17 off the bench.

Donovan Mitchell led Utah with 32 points. Bojan Bogdanovic had 24 points and Mike Conley added 21 points.

Luka Doncic is trending towards a Game 4 return provided there are no setbacks, sources tell Marc Stein of Substack.
Doncic has missed the first three games of the Dallas Mavericks' first round series against the Utah Jazz due to a strained left calf.
Doncic suffered the injury on the final day of the regular season.

Tied up 2-2, Dalllas up 52-36 in Game 5. Jazz lowest scoring half all season. Kidd is throwing some wild defenses out there

He is the only player in NBA history to also increase his points per game and three-point percentage over a five-year stretch, according to Elias Sports.

It was nice to see them play so well after letting Game 4 slip away the way they did. I hope they go ahead and finish it off in Utah. I think the Mavs have the better team, but I don't want to risk a Game 7.

Snuggled up in bed last night (one of the few places my neurological condition is lessened) and watched one hell of a game ending. Much like the end of game 4, except it was the Jazz blowing it

Rudy Gobert, would love to get him on the Mavs.

Every series we win gets us closer to getting another superstar to play with Luca

Braden - he's very inconsistent till these last few games. Barnburner. Makes $20m so he would probably be trade fodder for a similar contract (Gobert?)

First change is Luka needs to work on his defense and conditioning. I get his usage rate is high but Lebron and Jordan NEVER got tired.

And 37 year old Chris Paul should not be blowing by Luka. He made him look silly.

The Toronto Raptors would express a "degree of interest" should Rudy Gobert be made available in a trade, sources told Ian Begley of SNY.
Marc Stein also reported earlier this week of the Raptors' interest in a potential Gobert trade. The Mavs are also rumored to be interested should a deal arise.
In addition, the Warriors have been linked as a possible destination for Gobert.
Gobert is seen as a more realistic trade target than Donovan Mitchell should the Jazz decide to deal one of the two stars.

Home team won every game so far,
none with a margin closer than seven points. A trip to the West finals will be at stake Sunday in Phoenix.

This has been one of those series you get surprisingly often in the NBA that go seven games without any of them being competitive. Homecourt just means so much in that sport.

Hopefully the Mavs can find a way to make it a game in Game 7.

That game was insane. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined that game playing out that way. But I'm damn glad it did. The Mavs were the better team and Booker deserved to be taken down a peg.

Yes he has. They beat CP3 into the ground, made Booker look like a rookie, and PHX couldn't match it in terms of adjustments

He's running up and down his section of the court and yelling and screaming directions the whole time.

btw - love the fact that they didnt care about setting a record by keeping the starters off the court in the 4th, then pulling the 2nd string and letting the 3 stringers get a chance to play against the best team in basketball, in the 7th game of the series, on their court.

Kidd has always been a bit manipulative. This time it is in our favor
