PS One final observation: The Mexican-Americans don't seem to be as sensitive about some stuff as we are. When I first posted my Ranch Report to SubStack, a friend contacted me to say that maybe I shouldn't use the term "midget" but perhaps "dwarf" or "little people."

I said that this was how the promoters billed it, and this was the signage they had up during the show.

I don't know if a show like this would fly in the bigger cities. I do know that all of the midgets performing the day I was there were glad to have the gig and glad to be earning some money.
