The Innuit in the north of Greenland and the Nordic Vikings in the south not having much interaction does not surprise me....given the size of Greenland

On a map of the USA the Norse would have settled around Houston and Dallas on the coasts....the Innuit around Minneapolis and Green Bay far to the North.
