Seems like the first, best marriage advice I could give is: Twitter is a brilliant hive mind. Seek the crowd sourced insight by posting detail rich situations any time there's a conflict between you and your spouse.

The second part is more generic: Partners have to support each other. When you have a clearer view than your spouse in respect to any question or opinion, don't leave your partner in error. Quickly move to correct any mistakes in fact. Reassure your mate that you're supporting their best interest by exclaiming "Calm down!" if they show agitation at your corrections. Keep in mind that no one likes to appear ignorant in front of a crowd, so be extra diligent in this regard in a public space.

---

nobody likes being corrected in front of others. At least not starting out. The quicker a person learns to accept this correction and learn from it the stronger the marriage becomes.

For him: You're taking your wife's name? Who wears the pants in your relationship?

For her: If you aren't a ***** in the bedroom, a cook in the kitchen, and a maid in the whole house.... he'll cheat on you and it's your fault.

Never let being married stop you from getting married!

Implement the body of water rule into your marriage. If you and spouse are separated by a body of water, it is not cheating.

So, the other day, I poured a glass of water and set it in the middle of our doublewide then brought my girlfirend over. My wife understood.

Girl friend huh?

By the way, Robert Lee wants to know what that stain is. It keeps bleeding through the carpet remnant.

Demand a prenuptial agreement unless she has more money or a higher earning capacity.

Tik Tok for marriage advice. LOL.

Why not just go to Fakebook, er, Facebook, to get advice, dude? You know, all those happy, smiling couples posting pictures with their perfect little children. Photographed all over the world.

But then oops, you happen to know friends of these same people and come to find out that mommy and daddy haven't liked each for years, their kids are behavior problems and/or are failing in school. That it's all a facade.

Outside of a football board or two, I have removed myself from social media completely. And for good reason.

Who was it that said truly happy couples don't have to spend half their lives on social media telling everyone how happy they are. And hasn't it been pointed out that the happiest of families aren't even on social media, or participate very little on it.

You probably missed the word "horrendous" in the OP. Good rant though, I'll give you that.

Don't marry an ugly woman.

Ugly women are obedient and they let you cheat. I ****ed and married a pretty woman. My fingers smell like soap. I ask "smell my finger" no Halle Berry. No Sade. I get "it smells like "caress." I have beauty bar fingers.

Not good for the game.

doesnt sound like very horrendous advice to me..

My best marriage advice for a man in 2025 in Texas is DON'T.

Aa soon aa she becomes unbappy, you'll lose your home, your personal property, any chance at romance inside the marriage, and if she's angry enough, she'll tell simeone you hit her or worse, they're going to believe her over you and you are going to lose your freedom.

So choose and choose wisely if you are going to do something that could potentially ruin your life.

I think there is much less risk and much more happiness in being a bachelor.

But I understand.
