Ace always got the actual "musicianship" parts to play.

I saw KISS lots of times and lots of incarnations. Whatever might be said about their musical talent, they always made the audience feel like they were special, and really gave entertaining them everything they could. You always got the show you paid for, and more!

Ace, in particular, was a great example of working hard for success, getting overcome by your own demons, then getting back on top of them and learning how to live.

See, their musicianship is generally much bettee than regarded. I think it was discounted due to the show and the general circus that surrounded the band. However, their riffs and rhythm were as good as anyone.

People get after Gene Simmons because of some of his simplistic bass lines, but listen once a couple of minutes to any of their songs, you'll realize he did exactly what the song called for.

And you have to have some dexterity to pulll off I was made for Loving You.
