I'm preparing to load up soon for the cooler fall/winter season.
My short list is:
Jura- for a light taste
Highland Park12 for a darker Smokey flav
But....
Grangestone- is my value priced everyday bottle, if I drank everyday.

The Balvenie, 12-year old.

I bought a couple bottles of 12- year Blair Athol at the distillery in Scotland that does not export. Been enjoying those.

I drink JWB as a preference over just about everything else on the planet. If I'm feeling Scotch spendy, I may get the Macallan 18.

If I'm drinking anything more expensive, it ain't gonna be Scotch.

So I can swap it for a good bourbon.

I had been drinking Glenlivit. But I was given Glenfiddich 15 for fathers day, and I like it better. I didn't want to, I guess due to drinking Glenlivit for so long. But I am switching.

Balcones has several that are great. I like Brimstone and #1 and Rumble.

You cant get #1 for $50, at least not anywhere I looked. Baby Blue is pretty good. Their Rumble Cask Reserve was incredible...but also not $50.

You can get Rumble and Baby Blue below $50 if you shop around. Even #1 was $52 last week at Twin Liquors In Waco in their semi-annual huge sale (usually about $69).

Rebecca Creek is garbage. It tastes smooth because it's about 50% neutral grain spirits (i.e. 50% vodka).
Jackie Treehorn treats objects like women, man.

E.H. Taylor's entire line is very good. Love the Rye.

This. Picked it up in Scotland, best I've ever had.
It pulls a little bit of character from almost every style of Scotch.

You can get it at total wine etc.
