My son passed level 1 scoring in the top 10% of all test takers! Only two more to go!

He doesn't like accounting that much! Probably go back and get an MBA in a couple years.

As long as we are bragging, my new son-in-law passed each section on his first attempt. At his new companies orientation, only 4% of the new hires could say that about themselves.

The tax portion will have major changes for future test. I'm told that is the hardest portion. Poor lots of study time into that because it will be a different animal next time.

well crap! I guess I should clean my glasses. Yes, I was speaking to cPa while everyone else was cFa.

I had no clue so many people on this board were big fans of cats.

Doesn't matter, either way, great accomplishment for your son-in-law! Didn't know the numbers were that low for the CPA exam!

i don't think they are typically that low. That was for the one group of new hires for one firm. There are 4 parts to the exam and each part has a pass/fail rate of just under 50%. Either way, passing all 4 parts on the first go-round is a pretty sweet deal.
