I've written a couple of songs and a birthday ditty that are copyrighted but need to be registered. I also need them to be transferred from their handwritten form to a finished, sheet music caliber product.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

My musician friends used to just put a copy on cassette and mail it to themselves and keep it sealed so there's an officially dated record.

I guess it's as good cheap low-tech way of protecting your stuff for the poors.
