I had a friend, now deceased, who grew up in Clear Lake and was at the Surf Ballroom that night. In an article published several years ago it was revealed that Buddy's famous glasses were still in an evidence bag at the Cerro Gordo (IA) Sheriff's office. Don't know if they are still there but what kind of $$ value would those have?

I think they were given to the Buddy Holly museum here in Lubbock. The Lubbock AJ had a 4 page spread about him in today's edition.
