What gate opener do any of you have (besides your wife)?

I have the Linear Pro/Mighty Mule and have nonstop trouble with it. Just replaced one of the gate arms, have had to replace the control panel, and have burned up half a dozen rev counter boards in about three years. It was about five years old when we bought the place.

I'm very frustrated with the contraption.

Sounds like a swing gate or double swing but to be sure - What type of opener? Is your system Push pr pull? Is it swing or on a rail? Is the gate have support wheel(s)?

I went retro - got a moat w/ a handcrank drawbridge.

It's a 2002xls pull to open double swing arm. No wheels. Gates aren't very heavy. Solar recharge on batteries. Never had a problem with charging, just the circuit boards.

The latest snafu was the keypad didn't work as I was trying to leave out on a bike ride this morning. Had to pull a pin to open a gate. When I left for work the remote in my pickup did work. Lights came on on the keypad, just no action from the gate.

Ummm.....I thought this was going to be a thread about one-liners to use on women in bars in these toxic male times.
