Much like the Mavericks, I've wondered why Mo Pitney hasn't made it bigger than he has.

Never heard of him. That was awesome.
I've not seen this video. Really good job of Farmer's Daughter.Bexar Pitts said:
For the new Mo Pitney fans (put me in that group), thought you might like to hear this one. BTW, you'll notice Noel, Ben, and Marty Haggard ( sons) in this video..
That's as good as it gets. If that doesn't touch something way down inside, you've missed life's boat.Fat Daddy said:

From this same show, two of his sons do Running Kind and Fugitive and they do them well. But the then, Ben hits a home run with Its All In The Movies

This one sort of combines two of my favorite late night memories from the early 70s. I stocked groceries in the summers at the Randall's in Stafford (the flagship store back in the day) and after it closed at 10 we stocked groceries until 3 or 4 a.m. and put the radio or tape deck on the store P.A. system. A favorite was Fleetwood Mac from the days when it was Peter Green's blues band before they went pop with Stevie Nicks etal. The album Then Play On got worn out, especially "Oh Well" . Loved Peter Green's blues guitar. The other late night memory was the long version of Santana's "Black Magic Woman" which was actually originally a Peter Green/Fleetwood Mac tune. I lived in Sugar Land and dated a girl in Fresno. Driving home from her house down Highway 6 after midnight at, uh, higher than the prevailing speed, I loved listening to Carlos Santana's guitar solo work on Black Magic Woman on my tape deck in my car. Here is Peter Green and Carlos Santana doing Black Magic Woman together in 1998. Two wonderful guitarists on a classic tune that they both did separately.
