Here's a great cover of a Buddy Holly hit that was written by Paul Anka. Eva died way too young.

Quite a jam session---- round the world! Worth a watch, even if you have seen it before!

Marty Robbins had many hits. This is one of my favorites.

Thanks for killing a good singer, Nashville.
Nashville doesn't need John Anderson, they have Florida/Georgia Line!
Ok Blake Shelton
Sad times.
I contend that Trashville has murdered several great artists.

Dwight Yoakam
John Anderson
Tracy Byrd
Joe Diffie
Alan Jackson
John Paycheck
Travis Tritt
Jo Dee Messina
Shania
Hank Jr

All cut down in cold blood, or used up by the machine.

And speaking of murdering country music...

Along those lines...

Spent a couple days this past weekend at Larry Joe Taylor's Texas Music Festival and was able to hear a lot of great stuff. Think Woodstock for rednecks. It's insane.

Would recommend giving these two under the radar Texas music groups a listen: Flatland Cavalry, Parker McCollum.

Nice! I like both versions. I'm a huge Tom Waits fan. He's written multiple songs that were great but that others had bigger hits with. Here's him doing one that the Eagles made famous.

Did George help to preserve country music, or aid its downfall?

He's damned sure not responsible for Florida Georgia Line and the like if that's what you're asking.

I blame 2 things: Garth Brooks, though it pains me, and Rascal Flats.

Those 2 acts opened the door for the filth that ear-****s me when I walk into every Texas-themed restaurant.

Garth had a huge hand in the "party country" movement and Gary LeVox let it be known that you didn't need fiddles, steel guitars or really anything except a drum set and electric guitar to make his high pitched vocals into anything resembling music.
