Good list .... but Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison and Cindy Walker might belong on the list....

Several of those singer/songwriters would be upset with you for including Pat Greene on the list.

I like his music alot but the "real" ones think he panders to his audience with overt Texas themes and mentions.

Most of the singers on that list would put Billy Joe Shaver at the top! Any list without him is lacking, IMO.

Billy Joe is a great one. Just outside my top five. There are a lot of really good ones from Texas.
