Thanks for the tip on Lombardi's. We'll be there in a few weeks and I'm looking for a good pizza place for lunch.

In 2006 my then early 20's daughter shut down Lombardi's kitchen for 10+ minutes. We were there getting a pizza to go, and they had us wait near the kitchen. She asked one of the guys if she could get a picture with him in front of the kitchen. He had her go on inside, then all the guys wanted to be in the picture, then individual pictures, then more pictures, etc. The manager even came in and got in a few.

I stopped reading after Pearl... Man I so love that place.

Maialino at the Gramercy Park Hotel is great for contemporary Italian food.

Nope. Been there once, and hated every minute of it.
I see nothing exciting about being crammed into a small area and being surrounded by 1000's of people.
It stinks and there is nothing but pavement. NEVER going back.

I too am 4th gen. Texan and have a Ranch too. Just got back from NYC last night. To each his own, but I just love that place. Attended the Columbia vs Cornell Game. Good fun.
