Anyone have any personal favorites (restaurants) on the I-10 stretch heading east between New Orleans and the Fla state border? I really enjoy stopping off and trying local joints that are mostly unknown.

This Cracker Barrel was the fastest to seat and serve you that I've ever visited a couple of weeks ago while traveling in that area:

Wintzells oyster house if want fast casual,
Dumbwaiter if you want to take a little more time to enjoy a great meal.

Both in Mobile, easy to get to, and fantastic.

Although neither are as good as a ton of New Orleans places.

T. J.'s Ribs on I-10 in Baton Rouge. Great food plus Billy Cannon's Heisman Trophy.
