I'd like to contribute to keep this forum active. I like beer. All kinds of beer. I drink mine cold. Worked for a guy who said his grandad kept his Shiner Bock in the top of his closet in his unairconditioned deer-lease cabin. Any warm beer folks out there? If so, why?

Not sure I've ever heard anyone say SB is ****ty. I've met plenty of people who preferred other bocks, but none that thought Shiner was ****ty. What are your favorite bocks?

Ayinger, Victory, Troegs, Stouds, . ****ty may have been a bit harsh, but I just have never liked Shiner Bock or Shiner beer in general. A little insipid.

Got it. I was just wondering if you weren't a huge fan of bock style beers, or SB in particular. I love bocks/doppelbocks.

Shiner was ok when it was the only alternative to the Bud/Miller/Coors swill. Now there are many better choices.

Ha, I don't think I would have objected if you would have put it that way. Pretty big difference between your original comment and what Dio said.

In my opinion you really can't beat a good dopplebock. I really like Celebrator and Salvator, especially if you can find them on draft in liter steins.

Paulaner Salvator might be my favorite beer. It's certainly up there.

As Ben Franklin said "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy"!

Just diving into IPA's, I have always been mostly domestic light beer guy, but ready to move on. Anyway, looking for suggestions for IPA's that I can get my hands on in the waco area.

Edit: picked up St Arnold's Elissa and Fresh Sqeezed from Deschutes...

Wish me luck

Anything Deschutes makes is stellar IMO. I think their Mirror Pond Pale Ale (a little less hoppy then an IPA) is one of the best beer brewed.
