A few friends were at a new growler place in Dallas last week and got to talking about Bell's and the greatness that has been unavailable in TX for however long. One mentioned that they'd heard Bell's would start TX distribution soon, but didn't know the details. So, while I was in Detroit the past two days, I decided I'd pick some up to bring home.As I'm wrapping up my day and getting ready for the beer store, I stumble across this tweet:

Bell's is coming to TX and I didn't end up at the beer store.

The Two Hearted Ale is really good. Strong. I have to be careful when they're available...

I appreciate the rec...

Picked up a 6 pack of the Two Hearted Ale at the Downtown Specs in Houston. They had a whole display of Bell's stuff.

If you don't like them, feel free to mail them to me.

I'd recommend not trying to down more than 2, maybe 3, in a relativley short period.

I'll down 3 and follow with shots of bourbon.

I scoff at your moderation!

Bell's has been rumored to his texas for awhile now...glad it finally happened! If Black Note Stout is part of that distribution I'll be doing some beer hunting

I went to a place last night here in Galveston and they had a tap takeover.

I had 2 hearts ale and, while I'm not a huge IPA guy, it was very good. and I got a pint glass, a bottle opener, and a sticker.

They had a bunch of stuff and a rep at the Flying Saucer in Sugar Land a while back. Got a koozie and a button.

Bell's Two Hearted Ale is my new favorite IPA.

They just started selling it here in Fort Worth a few weeks ago.

The Bell's Lake lager is also a good warm-weather easy-drinking beer.

Thanks to OP for the tip. I picked up some Bells at Trader Joes and became an instant fan.

There's lots of buzz around Great Raft starting distribution into the DFW market this month. Never tried it but looking forward to it.

My only issue with Two Hearted is the high alcohol lends a sweetness. It isn't a session beer, for sure

My buddy in New Orleans swears by Great Raft, but I've never tried it either. Good to know it's coming our way.

At a Bell's Imperial IPA today on tap at Bluffview Growler in Dallas. That thing was Huge, Tiny E!

Don't know if on tap or not, but Bell's just released an American IPA that's a bit lighter than the Two-Hearted Ale, in honor of their moving into the Texas market, called Am I Right or Amarillo. It is only available in the Texas market. Pretty good stuff!
