Del friscos, nick & sams, and al biernats are all great. Knife is a great choice as well, and not as stuffy of an atmosphere.

Three Forks is my favorite.

Javiers isn't really a traditional steakhouse but that's probably my favorite place to get a steak. Incredible food

Pappas. No question - and don't pass on the Lobster Bisque

It has been too many years since I've had a steak in Dallas, but it was at a rehearsal dinner and it was at Lowry's.

Best damn prime rib I have every had (my mouth is beginning salivate thinking of getting a nice medium rare slice).

It wasn't too long after graduation from our dear university, and I am still spoiled by that night. Who knew that the days of celebrations of seeing our college friends would become less and less frequent due to life moving us forward...?

Been to all of em. Pappas is the winner for me. Ask to sit in the wine room. Filet is the best around as is the service. Agreed- you must order the lobster bisque.

You can't go wrong w Al B's, Nick/Sams, or Bob's though.

OG Bobs on Lemmon is my choice simply due to loyalty. Knife is the only place on this list I haven't been. Thanks guys.

Chez JR. I kinda break it down 4 different ways. The steak itself, the rest of the menu wine program and over all experience. Best steak goes to Knife or Pappas. Best rest of menue goes to Nick and Sams or Del Frisco's. Best wine program goes to Pappas. I think Pappas is the winner for best overall experience. That being said, I really hate to spend my $ in high end steak joints simply cuz the wine is marked up 400% and that pisses me off. The reason I vote for Pappas is u can find some very good wine bargains ion their list from Spain, Chile, or Rhine valley. I can replicate the steak dinner at home for about $50 a head including wine compared to $200 per head at the joint. Just my take

Same for me. When I go out for a nice dinner, I never go to a steak place. I can cook a good steak at home and drink a decent cab I bought.

I always liked Pinot Noir, if anything alcoholic, with my meats.

I too like a good pinot with a steak. I don't drink much cali cabs, but i have to admit, a good cali cab with a grilled steak is pretty hard to beat.

I like Pinot with roasts and pork (in general). grilled red meat I usually go bordeaux varietal or maybe a zin.

We have a place in Flower Mound that we like a lot. Perhaps not as high on the hog (cow?) as some of these Dallas locales, but the steaks are great, the prime rib crostini is my current favorite appetizer anywhere, and their wine and bar selection is good. It's called Yellow Rose Steakhouse and is in Parker Square. We can get a great meal at a decent price for steak, and never have to fight traffic.

In fact, I need to go again soon.

I just never got into wine hardcore. Bourbon type of guy. I enjoy a good Rye on occasion as well.

Pappas. But I'll also put a vote in for Perry's. Their steak is excellent. I admit it's hard to pass up the pork chop when I go there, though. It is unreal.

I'll second the Perry's Pork Chop. Particularly, Fridays for lunch when it's $10

Im surprised Ocean Prime didnt get a shout. I like that place.
