Their t-shirt fan base was built back in the day of the SWC when they routinely beat everyone, including OU, and the hemorrhoids in College State were worthless on the football field.

All that has changed over the years and they will continue to lose the t-shirt fans if they perform at their current level.

Like all things, football fans tend to be pretty myopic and delusional. I don't mind the occasional jab or comment.

Bottom line, if you're wearing Baylor gear, set a positive example. Be nice to old and young people. Wish people luck. Enjoy the event and demonstrate that a college degree is a privilege.

But if some t shirt fan gives you lip, just make sure there are no cameras or witnesses when you sucker punch that sum*****.

Sorry, couldn't you hear you over here. Too busy making room for my Big12 and Sugar Bowl trophies (to go with my NCAA Basketball trophy).

I'd venture to say that a lot of people moving to Austin by default assume they'll just show up, buy a UT shirt and then go hang out around town as if they are some lifelong member.

Of course, this is precisely the problem as illustrated in the thread.

Austin quit being admirable about a decade ago, and the thread basically proves the UT community is full of people that will put far more effort into talking big online but NONE into raising the standards of themselves, or their 'supposed'(emphasis) university.
