Third party company Navigate has estimated the future annual payouts (inclusive of everything) for the P5 conferences, and it's interesting to see that they do not project a drop in Big 12 payouts - although the Big 12 ultimately provides for the lowest P5 payouts beginning in 2026. Personally, I would consider their projects to be the ideal scenario given the loss of OU/UT.

Navigate projects SEC and Big Ten per-school payouts will be $40-50 million clear of rest of Power Five by 2026 (msn.com)

Where do I sign?

Leaves us about the same as the PAC and the ACC, and we don't have to deal with UT anymore.

UT/OU already made a lot more money than we did. Hasn't done them (especially UT) a whole lot of good lately. They're solving for the wrong problem.

Good stuff OP. I still think we shake out 3rd overall when it's said and done. Simply put we have a better FB product to offer them, and one that will now cuve 3 time zones.

But your post shows the dollars will (should) absolutely be there after our next GOR contract Is done whether we are 3rd, 4th or 5th.

And $50MM+ is a far cry from some who were thinking what? $10-20MM annually? Like I said, the B12 will be fine moving forward.

Those SEC / B10 numbers are just not attainable. Your viewership is not going to increase at that CAGR required to drive that revenue. For Baylor, that's a 27% increase. - which seems fair with someone who markets the B12 better than the current mix of knuckleheads.

It's a complicated discussion. The Big 12's media deal currently pays out $28M/year per team, and that increases to ~$40M/year per team for the total payout - difference of $12M between the deal value and total payout. It's unclear how exactly (using specific numbers) Navigate shows the increase in total payout, so it will be interesting to see how it all works out. It would be a win.

MBB should help also, especially considering how much $$$ comes from March Madness. And the conference has a team in the FF 2 years in a row. No other conference can say that. If Kansas were to win out, it would be a huge boost. That's the only reason I'm rooting for them this weekend.
