Mandel makes a bunch of terrible decisions in crunching his stats. YouTuber D1 360 has a much more effective data set comparing Big 12, Pac-10, and ACC TV performance by channel. They can NOT be simply added together. Here is a summary from D1 360's data: pic.twitter.com/b0mLr4DQCV

I've been working on an article series on TV ratings for SicEm365. Trying to duplicate his data it seems that in his sample 45% or so of the Big 12's games were on FS1 or ESPNU. 28% for the PAC.

49% of the PAC was on ABC/ESPN/FOX. 22% for the Big 12. Apples & Oranges https://t.co/jwHpatG4bb
You state the obvious reason for the disparity in your article but then go on to make illogical conclusions based on false premises.

To give you an idea how meaningless that makes this... here's the median value in each time slot for the 3,000+ games in my data. FOX, ESPN, ABC are each over 2M expected when all 4 slots averaged together. FS1 & ESPNU? Under 500k. Apples and oranges. pic.twitter.com/ieLXlOU3Xj

He truly is the Baghdad Bob of that conference. When he explained away that small crowd at UCLAs home opener ' because of the pandemic and a beach 20 minutes away ' he lost me.
Yep. 20 minutes would be by emergency vehicle. Try closer to 30 minutes at best by car on normal hours. Nevertheless it is a beautiful tripStefano DiMera said:

This is why the Big 12 should embrace being a fly in the ointment and thorn in the establishment's side. Our conference will never have enough clout or brand strength to impress lazy media people and casual fans. But it will always be too good on field and court to ignore.Russell Gym said:Stefano DiMera said:

Seems pretty agenda driven to me.
The U-Turn from PAC In Trouble chatter to Big 12 Is Trash talk has given me whiplash.

Apparently Mandel blocked me for pointing out that all this Navigate data was originally published in his The Athletic when he questioned the Big12 numbers (which were Navigates original figures unchanged by me.). Thin skin, eh? https://t.co/W39A7E3Sxz pic.twitter.com/Xkbu0Pr5rp
