This "writer" is picking the low-hanging fruit in this article! Outside of Kansas, there aren't any "gimmes" in the Big 12 this year, and I wouldn't disregard the Jayhawks. They'll be fighting with a short stick talent-wise but Sarkisian found a bite the horns couldn't chew last year at home. That can happen to anyone in spite of reasonable odds. And if this guy thinks Tech, TCU and W Va aren't going to be good enough to challenge isn't paying attention.

Ewers wasn't "hired" to sit the bench but the learning curve is steep. I don't care that he was at Ohio State last year. Different teams; different schemes; different teammates. The best thing that could happen to him would be for Sark to redshirt him and develop him but that ain't happening, unless I miss my guess. Ewers is on the clock with Sark and his "get out of jail" card in Austin. That's a stupid position for the horn faithful to take for lots of reasons, one of which is that it will cost 'em a QB transfer. How do you think Malik Murphy feels right now?

There have been lots of turnover in staffs and rosters since 2021. Gonna be an interesting ride and a tough challenge to repeat.

Interesting for sure!.

I don't think Sarkisian has the right stuff.

Venables will have the same challenges of any new coach trying to implement systems.

The grown man at okie state will be tough again. And wvu at home in Morgantown is legendary.

I feel like all preseason rankings and predictions are just copy/paste jobs from previous years.

Even though Sarkisian was a BYU guy, I don't believe in him in turning around Texas. He may have Ewers, but that means very little to me. Until someone fixes Texas they are broken, and Sark isn't the answer. Horns down.

They are, because the "Baylor just caught lightning in a bottle -- can't last" narrative rolls on and on and on and.....
