Was that mad max running briles no huddle, hurry up offense ? 75 plays , 300 yds passing , 360 rushing ,including 120 by qb and 9 receivers catching balls ,wow I sure prefer the no huddle to our be-fuddle offense ,,, how bout u ?

I prefer jet sweep and half back tosses in the end zone

I prefer whatever generates W's. But I do think as of this very moment we have arguably the worst Offense in the conference. WV Bu and iSU are the 3 worst offenses in the B12 as it stands

I expected KU to beat ISU more soundly than what happened. If we are going to have a less than spectacular year maybe this is the year we get to beat TCU when they need the win the most.

I like Aranda but I agree on this offense put this O with Arada's defensive knowledge and ....

The hurry-up no-huddle defense is the enemy of competent defense. They're oil and water. That's why guys like Sonny Dykes and Mike Leach lose four games most years. It's impossible to play good defense running an offense that keeps your defense on the field all game.

Briles is the one coach in history who has won at a championship level doing it, and it's not because his defenses were particularly good. It's because his teams scored enough to overcome the damage that offense did to the defense's efforts. No one else has been able to do that. Baby Briles can't. Lebby can't. Heupel can't. Kiffin can't.

If you want to win at a championship level, you have a much better chance of doing so with an elite defense and an average offense than an elite offense and an average defense.

Seems like that was the thought last year after we lost to OSU and barely beat TSU. Turner out pretty well, after all.

We had an elite defense last year that helped us tremendously when we struggled offensively. We don't have that luxury this year

I guess my point was that the offense looks better now than it did at this time last year, considering the OSU and TSU games last year. We outgained OSU yesterday. Had Holmes not dropped the ball on the first drive, and we hadn't gotten a yard on 3rd and 4th and 1 in the 3rd quarter, and recovered the OSU fumble on the kickoff.....that is 3 plays that could have made a difference to cause us to win.

Would all this hand-wringing be going on had we won the game by those plays going our way? I have never understood the mood of this board to predict doom and gloom on a few data points and on the other side predict CFP and championship wins based on just as few. And then those that criticize coaches or players for failures, that they themselves make in their own jobs.....that they conveniently ignore. Not directed at you, but it is ridiculous to think that improvement will not occur the more these new defensive guys play.
