I bought into Ewers after that small Bama sample. I'm sure he'll keep growing from experience….but he's not the finished product I first thought he was.

If you think about it, this should be his true freshman year in college. His last full season of football is his junior year of high school at Southlake Carroll. He played some mop-up stuff at Ohio St, which should have been his senior year. Started the first 2 games this year, then got injured. He just doesn't have that much experience at this level. This was his first starting road game, right?

Fully agree. It's also why I cringe when I see posts that think Novosad could automatically just step right in next Fall as a starter. Such a big difference between high school and this. Speed is just so much faster. Sure, there have been some superstar true freshmen, but not many.

Yeah. Would be best to redshirt novosad and let him get mop up duty with drones or whoever doesn't transfer out
