It would be naive to not think this isn't widespread, especially at big secular state schools...probably in greater numbers in the SEC.

It's just disappointing that our former staff was no different than them in a number of fatal ways.

That being said, I hope all programs caught in the grips of Freeze or Briles- like scandals are held accountable and that the day is soon coming that the Stoops' and Sabans of the world don't get immunity for it either.

And of course the school is still saying the escorts were for Freeze.

I guess that is one way to speculate.

No one with any sense believes they were for him. Not fired on a technicality so no severance makes sense here.

I don't know why they wouldn't be for Freeze since he was out of town on a "business" trip, a common context for infidelity of this kind. But you can't rule out the other as well. Seems like some follow-up is in order.

But if he is out recruiting he is dealing with recruits who are still kids. It's not like he is providing them for his current players who are all adults if they are prostitutes out in other cities of the recruiting trail.

Setting aside the illegal prostitution thing, the chances that he would be a "child sex offender" are rather unlikely, since the age of consent is less than 18 in 80% of the states. In fact, in 32 states, including Mississippi, that age is 16. Still a sleaze, a cheater and a criminal, if he was arranging prostitutes for recruits.
