Baylor (9-2) explodes for 71 points in the second half en route to a 111-67 rout over Southern (4-8).  Tounde Yessoufou leads the Bears in scoring with 28 points.

Positives

  • Beautiful offensive performance particularly the second half (71 points).  1.59 points per possession is tremendous.  28 assists to only 4 turnovers is a masterpiece.
  • Loved seeing the enthusiasm from the team when Will Kuykendall (2-2) and Drew Perry (1-1) nailed their 3 point attempts at the end of the game.
  • I thought that was a well coached team that will probably win the SWAC.  Baylor thumped them pretty good.  Southern ran some good offensive sets.
  • Caden Powell = Freddie Gillespie, so many similarities in how they affect the game with rebounding, communication and pick setting.
  • Let the Big Bear cook- Tounde Yessoufou is a tremendous post up weapon if he gets caught on a smaller guard.

Concerns

  • Not many after a performance like this.  Let’s welcome a big man addition and get on a roll in Big12 play.
