"The CFL's Hamilton Tiger-Cats have hired former Baylor coach Art Briles as the team's Assistant Head Coach Offence, according to an announcement by the team.

Hamilton recently appointed from SMU coach June Jones as the team's new head coach.


Nowhere in the Tiger-Cats' 389-word release announcing Briles' hirewas anything about Briles' past issues at Baylor mentioned.

Briles coached at Baylor for eight seasons before being fired amid a sexual assault scandal in May of 2016.

"We were horrified by the extent of these acts of sexual violence on our campus. This investigation revealed the University's mishandling of reports in what should have been a supportive, responsive and caring environment for students," Richard Willis, chair of the Baylor Board of Regents, said in the school's news release that outlined key findings of an independent and external review conducted by Philadelphia law firm Pepper Hamilton. "The depth to which these acts occurred shocked and outraged us. Our students and their families deserve more, and we have committed our full attention to improving our processes, establishing accountability and ensuring appropriate actions are taken to support former, current and future students."

Not a lot of familiar US names on the Ti-Cats roster. Everett Golson from ND and Jalen Saunders from OU are about it.

But if there ever was anyone who could take advantage of a 110 yd long field with 25 yd deep endzones, with an extra player and WRs who could be moving toward the line of scrimmage before the snap, Art's the guy.

You know, given the political correctness that has a death grip on college campuses I think this is a great move.

Will be at the ti-cats / argos game on Monday in case anyone else is going.

If you think Briles ball was fun wait till you see it in a system where receivers go in motion towards the line.

I'm a fan of Baylor, not Briles. This is a far cry from top HC jobs that some of the Cult of Briles members predicted. Everytime I see Briles it just makes me sad of what went down and what could have easily been prevented. Was too much emphasis put on the football team? Yes, but in the end Briles messed up too. Good luck to him but I won't be following or watching.

She's getting desperate now. Rachel Baribeau has supplanted Ms. Tracy's "cause" and Rachel is getting all the attention for not only addressing the issue but doing it in an appropriate way. Since I don't follow Ms. Big Boobs on Twitter, has she been invited lately to speak to a college football team? Also, I think ESPN has cut her loose as well.

That is some serious sour grapes childish Facebook/Twittery junk...

CFL did what any NFL or college team should've done, placed him in the offensive coordinator position where there's a back office management team overseeing things and all he does is run the offense.
