6-6 is my guess. Hoping for 8-4 or better

7-5 isn't a crazy take, but the interesting part of that prediction is that the only team Baylor would beat with a real pulse at the P5 level would likely be UCF.

Somewhere between 6-6 and 8-4 sounds about right with potential losses including Utah, Texas, UCF, Texas Tech, TCU, and KSU.

Given that we have 8 home games, barring a horrific injury plagued season, 7-5 should be the floor, with (IMO) 9-3 being the ceiling, especially if we have a season more like '21 where the 50-50 type breaks mostly go our way.

We got beat at home like what 3-4 times last year? We don't have near the home field we had when he whose name shall not be mentioned roamed the sidelines. Having 8 home games doesn't mean squat if you can't defend your own turf

Yeah I have us winning eight but we have to find a way to take care of our home.

All they did is pick BU to win the games vs teams they're supposedly better than, and lose the games vs teams they're supposedly worse than. It won't play out that way in reality. The record will probably be close to right (6-8 wins) but BU always loses a game they shouldn't, a wins a game playing over their head it seems.

Pretty much… @ UCF scares me a lot more than Tech in Waco as an example

And the year before last we were undefeated at home. There are (at least normally) some inherent advantages to having an aggy like schedule where a full 2/3 of your season is at home, which to my knowledge we've never had before (unless it was sometime in the leather helmet or earlier era) - even if you don't have the most intimidating home field environment. Anyway, since we're just having fun with off-season predictions, I still see it as an advantage and a factor in my prediction of a range from 7-5 to 9-3.

No doubt it's a benefit to having 8 home games. We just have to capitalize on them. Great chance right away in week 2 to set the tone

Know Tech is hyped but Tech at home is at worst a 50/50. Leaning more towards a win. Now @ UCF in their first ever big 12 home game will be very tough.

I'll say 6-6 if we suffer injuries and if Shapen doesn't step his game up. If we don't and he does, 8+ wins is definitely a possibility

The UCF game will be their first Big 12 game in their home stadium. I have that one down as a loss, but I think we take Tech at home in Waco.I am not sure what all K-State and TCU are bringing back.

that's a fair observation and why we play it out in the fall rather than defer to the talking heads. we'll see how it goes and maybe remember to revisit then.

Baylor not losing to Tech. No way.

It's way to early and this all a bunch of guessing but here's my take:

The only home games I'm really concerned about are Utah & Texas. The road games that concern me the most are against the two purple teams. The new schools are big question marks, especially UCF. Cincy with Fickle would be problematic, without not doing much. We should be able to beat all three but playing on the road in Orlando their first ever Big 12 game will be interesting. They are already sold out & those fans will be pumped.
