Lee Corso will be on site for the start of the 2023 season when ESPN's College GameDay kicks off in Week 1, the network announced.
ESPN said that College GameDay will premier this season from Charlotte, N.C., where North Carolina and South Carolina will renew their rivalry in the regular season opener, the first stop for the long-time show, which will once again feature Corso as a full-time analyst and game picker for this season.
Rece Davis will resume his position as the host of College GameDay, with analysis from Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, and Pat McAfee. College football insider Pete Thamel will provide news updates, and Jen Lada and Jess Sims will be featured as reporters

Lee turns 88 on 8/7.

I wish Lee would have announced his retirement a few years ago at the Michigan-Ohio State game and had a glorious well deserved celebration but now he is just sliding further down each time of what he used to be.

So many reasons not to watch Game Day.

Wake up Saturday's at 10:50. Make some coffee. Tune in first game at 11.

Pete Thamel…oh brother.

They fired Gene Wojciechowsk for...Pete Thamel. What a downgrade.

And Jess Sims, a Peloton instructor, who yells in her mic like she is teaching an actual Peloton class.

I don't care for Pat McAfee at all. Mic hogging, arrogant, and needy of attention. I like David Pollack. Classy and willing to think outside the groupthink.

I don't dislike McAfee do much but never paid much attention. But I will miss Pollack. I think he was one of the best announcers ESPN had. IIRC, in their atrocious calls during the Cactus Bowl, it was the other two who piled on & Pollack was actually more professional treating Baylor reasonably well. My memory may be off & it's been a long time since I've watched that game but that seemed indicative of his professionalism across the board. I always that he was the best of the bunch during CGD too.

Some people need to know when to just hang it up. Lee seriously should go enjoy the few years left some where private.
