Chortle, Chortle. The first time I've ever heard that Greg Sankey isn't up to the job.

So, so happy that band of knuckleheads have moved on. In another year I will feel the same about UT. It's nothing short of freedom to know that we are not beholden to either of them anymore.

The Big 10 is not in Texas because they don't speak the language.

I am about sure if the B10 felt they needed a Texas presence, they would have approached the Horns at anytime over the past 10 or so years.

They are AAU and Tier 1 Research so they meet those criteria and something tells me they'd love to show big brother they can make more revenue. I think they're too nestled into SEC and travel though it could work, but better for their students in SEC.

They wouldn't fare any better in the Big 10 than they do now. But if they're looking to yet again escape UT's shadow, go for it.

The sole reason that they are in the SEC is that the SEC gives them better access to elite recruits, which are necessary if they ever want to win a national title, and the new look Big 12's lack of such access is why the Big 12 probably won't win a national title.

Horns fit better in the BIG, Aggie and SEC are made for each other.

So when aggy ends up in the middle of the B1G, or worse, would they then look to want to come running back to the XII.....and then finish in the middle of that?

I can't think of a worse B1G fit.

It would be the most Aggie thing ever to pick up their toys and move to a new conference in less than 10 years because they couldn't hack it and they didn't want to compete against their rival.

Especially when joining the SEC was a 100 year decision.

I will give this guy credit. Unlike most Aggies, he seems to have enough self awareness to know that the only reason SEC wanted them was access to TX recruits, so why not pull up your dress for B10 too?

Yes,

Surprising levels of self awareness there.

The SEC even more so wanted them for the Texas eyeballs they deliver to use as additional leverage when negotiating the all important TV contracts. The SEC took the educated gamble that by taking them they would instantly become a much bigger player in the Texas media market (which they have) while adding a school that wouldn't endanger the dominance of their traditional powers (which the aggys haven't). Pretty much a no-brainer for that conference which continues to be born out.
