Mi Casita is still open and some of the greatest Tex Mex in the whole country. They make EVERYTHING by hand, from scratch, down to the salsa and chips. I like their enchiladas and asado.montypython said:Pecos 45 said:
I live outside of Fort Stockton
I worked out there years ago, for about 6 months.
I remember eating at Mi Casita and B's Family dining. They were pretty good. Are they still open?
The steak place. Bob's was OK. What I remember the most was that the onion rings were very good and the service was very, very slow.
I've had the Shield. It's good but the Cube is better and half the price. I've used all the other Fire TV products also but have settled into the Cubemontypython said:
Nvidia Shield TV FTW
- It has better hardware than superbox
- It's $129 cheaper than superbox (Shield TV is $199 new. You can buy used for $99).
- You can go the legit route or the free route with content.
Is this legal or do you go through a VPN to access it?robby44 said:BellCountyBear said:
I'm looking for the least expensive and contractually obligated path to access live sports content. I currently the cheapest version of Hulu. Would it be best to just add the "Live" version for $69.99/month? Just curious as to what everyone else uses. TIA!
I have a SuperBox. It's a android device similar to a Firestick. No subscription fees at all not monthly nor yearly. You can get every live sporting event that's being broadcast NFL, NCAA, NBA and MLB.
The current box is $329 but thats it no monthly fees
You can get every sports channel every ESPN channel and premium movie channels HBO etc.
It also has a video on demand function that gives you access to shows on streaming channels
The only con is every now and then a channel will freeze for a minute or two. I think that is an issue with my internet connection. A minor annoyance
https://www.superbox.cc/
You Get Over 1000 Premium Superbox Channels Instantly.
You Get Over 10000 Movies & TV Shows (VOD).
No More Expensive Cable Bills.
Our TV Service is Always Up 99,99 % of the Time!
Solid TV Service, Without Buffering and Freezing (Stable Internet Required).

BTW - used not only the Shield and Cube but also Firesticks and pigtailsmontypython said:NIce necro job.Assassin said:I've had the Shield. It's good but the Cube is better and half the price. Even though it can feel sluggish, the Nvidia Shield is better. The Cube has the worst TV OS I have ever used. It's a cluttered mess, lacks customization options outside of having 6 favorite apps and It pushes ads you cannot get rid of on the 2nd row of your home screen. That and it has a 100mb Ethernet port and USB 2.0. Why on Earth they would use that hardware in 2022 is beyond my understanding.
The Shield has 2 full speed and powered USB 3.0 ports, which is a big deal for me. It can also do lossless playback via Plex, which Cube couldn't do. Maybe they have finally fixed that problem but it existed from 2019-2023. I played around with the Cube 2 and 3 and returned both.
He may be talking about the Nvidia Shield Pro rather than just the OG 'Nvidia Shield.' That's what I use. And it is by far the best standalone on the market in terms of capability.Assassin said:You must have a different Shield AND Cube from me. Not sure what Ads you are speaking of. As far as the ads go, maybe I am confusing the cube with the firestick and fire tv. I've had all of those devices. The ads were a definite problem with the firesticks and fire tv's , so much so that there are countless hits on the Internet if you do a search "remove ads from firestick / fire tv". When I had them, there wasn't a way to remove the ads. Since then I guess people download ad blocking apps or something.Assassin said:You must have a different Shield AND Cube from me. I am talking about the Pro. The original Shield doesn't have USB ports. It did have a microSD slot.Karab said:He may be talking about the Nvidia Shield Pro rather than just the OG 'Nvidia Shield.' I've heard from a friend that the cheapest way is to find a friend who pays for cable and get their login info. Then add espn/fox apps to the android TV box of your choice. That will get you access to most of the games..BellCountyBear said:

I have an attend for the network broadcasts (pretty cheap from Walmart, Best Buy, etc) & Sling's double plan for all the cable channels: all ESPN, Fox, etc channels including some of the more obscure ones that occasionally host a football or basketball game. Sling is about $70 per month. I also have the ESPN+ Disney bundle for $10 per month through Verizon Wireless. Even with my slow DSL internet connection, it works pretty well. I occasionally have annoying pauses but no other big complaints.
