Players need to HATE losing. Baldwin is right… treat every play as if you are going to make something huge happen.

Every game needs to be an immediate player induced self re-evaluation of what you did and didn't do. If you are waiting on coaching to pull you along, you are not being a leader. Coaching is complimentary to your own ambitions. Obviously, listen to coaching… but, seek out your own improvements amongst your team mates and peers.

Why isn't Grimes doing something different?? Did anyone notice we had just 3 points mid way through the 3rd?

I wouldn't be surprised if this young man was out at the end of the season. It is very frustrating that 18, 19, and 20 year old players can accept the reality of the situation and talk honestly about it but our coaching staff can't.

Aranda and this staff is weak AF and have lost the locker room! Maybe that's what the BoR wants! Appreciate that.

I think it depends. You did hear him say WE. Now, he also did say some were not giving it their all.

He's a junior, right? I think he's got some serious decisions to make. He may be a little undersized to enter the draft but a year in a pro style system would probably elevate his stock.

Why would anyone great stay given the coaches and offense?

I love that this young guy is man enough to say this. Most of us know the party line is to "go team, go coach" but he's not backing away from calling out what is unacceptable at the D1 level in any sport.

Hell, we might have guys enter the portal in a couple weeks and elect to sit out the rest of the year. It's been done before. Why risk injury on a sinking ship?

I think some folks are squarely overestimating how many players we have who could transfer to another P5 team. We have a lot more "step down" guys than in-demand contributors.

In the last cycle, 1187 P5 players transferred and only 493 ended up at another P5*, so it's not like P5 transfers have a clear path to another P5.

*according to The Athletic from an August 11, 2023 article.

That's what I'm saying.

If Baldwin throws his name in the hat he'll have 8-10 solid scholarship options, at least 5 with ranked programs.

There are "high profile" BU offensive starters who will be lucky to get G5 options if they enter portal.
Nobody of note will transfer into BU with Aranda.

Blake and Monaray appear to have more passion and leadership than our coach and AD.
