$9,000,000.00.

Since players cannot (yet) be paid from revenue, schools just spend spend spends on facilities and coaching.

At some point that money may get diverted from facilities and coaches to the players.

UT and aggy fans and their BMD's have 10 times the passion for their programs then us yet they have little in the way of titles. Every year i think aggy has turned the corner and this is their year. UT does appear to turn corner now but looking at their 2024 schedule just ouch. No way they are ready for that schedule

Was wondering something with the size/$$ of UT and aggy….why did the SEC take them? I know they want the the TV contract $ but with NIL aggy and UT might have their way with the SEC. Did Alabama and others really want to change things that much?

The SEC took OU & Texas for the same reason they took the Aggies: $$$$$. The second reason is just as important: $$$$$. It's probably the top five reasons.

They don't mind too much about any of them because they will pad their resumes. The AP poll will have them ranked often enough so that the real powers (Bama & Georgia) will have more "quality" wins but none of them will seriously contend for the conference much less any other titles.

None of the three will have a chance at the "playoffs" because the ESPN Blue Blood Invitationals are closed to anyone without recent winning records. 2005 is not very recent.
