I expect something akin to Sarcastaball, from Southpark.boognish_bear said:
What happens when two bad teams collide? Cincy has lost 4 in a row and is looking for its first B12 win. I have no idea what to expect in this one.

Per Rob's numbers, Baylor is 95th nationally with the 87th offense and 92nd defense.

They're the fourth worst team in Power 5 (only Houston, Vandy, and Indiana are worse).
Baylor was 30th in Rob's numbers last year, for what it's worth, with the 28th offense and 48th defense. https://t.co/DAm2Kit9Ie

Year 4 and a statistical measurement says we are the 4th worst team in all of Power 5 football?
Well, that's not very encouraging.

I need less woke, more wins.
But, we are the best of those 4 teams....so things are looking brighter...just give it time...DanaDane said:

I believe it, I don't see any gimme wins on the schedule
The win against UCF is beginning to look more and more like a fluke
#Baylor HC Dave Aranda said he believes the team can finish 4-2 in its last six games to make it to another bowl game.
— Michael Haag (@MichaelHaag_) October 16, 2023
"I have faith in this team, I have faith in this staff. I have faith in everyone here."
#Baylor HC Dave Aranda said the No. 1 thing they looked at over the idle week was execution and being able to execute in a "violent manner."
— Michael Haag (@MichaelHaag_) October 16, 2023
#Baylor HC Dave Aranda said the team feeds into a road mentality because "it's just us." Said they need to be better at home but that the team can really lock in on the road.
— Michael Haag (@MichaelHaag_) October 16, 2023
The Bears won their only road game at UCF in historic fashion, a 36-35 comeback win down 28 points.
#Baylor HC Dave Aranda on the health of his team:
— Michael Haag (@MichaelHaag_) October 16, 2023
"I do believe that going into [this game on Saturday] ... we'll be the healthiest we've been in a while"
Have you watched the Cincinnati offense try to operate? They'll make our defense look much better than it is. This will be a rock fight. Neither team is blowing out the other IMO.Aliceinbubbleland said:boognish_bear said:

I do and it is not pretty. Bearcats in blowout.
#Baylor HC Dave Aranda said #Cincinnati QB Emory Jones is effective with his legs and that the Bearcats have leaned on that more of the last few weeks. Said he expects the same on Saturday.
— Michael Haag (@MichaelHaag_) October 16, 2023
Tech is a better football team than Cincinnati is by every measure. Cincinnati is deficient at the quarterback position. Emory Jones is awful and their backup is worse.IowaBear said:
You said that about the Tech game.. and they embarrassed us. You're right Cincy is terrible offensively. However, that likely won't matter. We're abysmal on both sides of the ball. Fully expecting to get a good ole spanking from a bad Cincy team
Dave Aranda says that the team has talked all bye week about throwing the football in order to help the run.
— Grayson Grundhoefer (@GrayGrundhoefer) October 16, 2023
Finding ways to run it without running it is something they have looked hard at.
And this is the greatest failure of our season. Everyone wants to point to scheme and playcalling, when our offensive staff's greatest failure by far was thinking they could compete with this offensive line.boognish_bear said:

Tech isn't garbage. They're a mediocre football team. They entered Saturday ranked 32nd nationally in FEI, compared to Cincinnati at 46 and Baylor at 69. None of these teams are good, but there are levels to this.IowaBear said:
Tech is garbage… and their QB play?? Cincy is bad you'll get no argument. But we just got obliterated at home by a garbage ass Tech team. I know we got some Joey homers on here but his squad is garbage as well.
If Tech is forced to finish its season with a third-string, true freshman quarterback, you might be right. But before the injuries to Tyler Shough and Behren Morton, they led a top-10 Oregon squad in the fourth quarter and had played right with every team on a very solid schedule.IowaBear said:
Techs 3-4… and their best win is against Houston… spin numbers all you want. They're 3-4 and will finish under.500. Mediocre squads go 6-6 7-5 ish. Not 4-8 like Techs likely to be
