I don't see us beating Iowa State with the way both teams are playing currently. I think we'll very likely be 1-5 at home after that game, which should be enough to get Aranda fired but won't.

I was wrong about the Tech game. I was right about Utah and UCF.

Nah, Grimes isn't a "competent OC". His offense just gets worse year after year here at BU. He's coasting and not using any creativity or sense of urgency.

Frankly he only looked competent for a bit because of the one year with one of the best Ds in the country.

Last year's offense was statistically better than the 2021 offense. The problem last year was a defense that cost us no fewer than three games.

I won't predict this team to beat anyone. There's a reason we're the underdog in all of these games. Our metrics reinforce the eyeball test. We're a bad football team. But that doesn't mean we're going to get blown out by other bad teams that are riding sizeable losing streaks themselves.

I don't know whether we win or lose. But I think we should be competitive based on the matchup. And if we're not, that's another indictment of a staff that has underachieved in every way imaginable this year.

Fair enough. I'll be there live Saturday rooting for them. But I expect another L. Hoping to be wrong

We should be slapping around all of these newly joined G5 schools.

Tech isn't garbage. They're a mediocre football team. They entered Saturday ranked 32nd nationally in FEI, compared to Cincinnati at 46 and Baylor at 69. None of these teams are good, but there are levels to this.

Just calling everyone garbage and saying we have no chance every week ignores the fact that football outcomes are most often determined by matchups.

That's why we beat UCF.

You can guarantee Cincy had the Baylor game circled on the scheduled. UCF pulled a Colorado......Cindy won't. Game will be over by 4th....
