In my opinion, last year's game was the most well-rounded performance by BU from the opening whistle to the final whistle. What is the history of the name "Skunk Creek Shootout?"

Is it because we both stink?

Guy Morriss coined it back in 2005 ? in a pregame presser before the ISU game that year. It was the same weekend as the UT/OU Red River game and he commented "why doesn't BU/ISU also have a nickname"? Skunk Creek is an actual creek in Ames,IA so he said we could call it "the Skunk Creek Shootout".
The rest is history.
