I've noticed the "Event Staff" at the ferrell center have gotten more and more heavy handed over the past few years. Like the crowd is SOOOOO rowdy in the first place. It seems like Baylor leadership is purposefully trying to drive fans away.

They are succeeding in many cases. Most stccessfull part of the football program in the last two years. Hope they don't succeed with the Basketball program too.

They successfully priced me out of the new arena. But I'm an edge case. I maybe want to go to 4-5 games a year, so I liked the SRO tickets that were so cheap I didn't feel guilty about not going.

You sir, don't know about the 1951 team. They were all bad ass fighters and beer drinking dudes. Just happened to be the number 7 team in the nation. Granted the BOR, at the time, wanted to"upgrade" the type of player with church choir boys and the teams were not in the top 10 until Briles did it.

They probably do not care about wins anymore...and certainly want "good kids" and zero problems...but the idea that Baylor's increasingly progressive and liberal leadership wants a return to all White players or a all White 1950s school environment is hilarious.

And it explains a lot of the dirty looks I've seen from staff at basketball games.

I mean ... you can't hassle BIll Self about his toupee ... or Higgins about his golden fleece ... we really are a bunch of candy asses.

There is a level of hostility towards the other team or refs that is inappropriate (see, eg, what happens to us at WVU), but it's way farther down the spectrum from where we've drawn the line.

Our administration has been on an apology tour since the scandal reminiscent of reconstruction in the south after the Civil War. Everyone hates us, and that's not going to change by trying to turn us into BYU. I've had opposing fans tell me snide remarks at our own games. What happens to them? An FBI visit to their home? Tactical nuclear strike? The big money donors are allowed to punch out windows in the private lounge, and yet the regular fans can't do anything that resembles "heckling". I know, I don't agree with cussing at people, but if the administration can't see the nuance between heckling and straight up hate speech, that's their problem

Baylor has a strange leadership that will hire really progressive people to lecture everyone about the dangers of "White Supremacy" and build slavery memorials on campus.

Then at the very same time worry about if we have far too many Black people on the football team and also worry about them getting with White girls.

I have a question. Why should I keep paying a significant amount of money to go to games. You cant cheer at games. You can't have a blackout at a football game. You can't even keep a good rivalry name for the tcu baylor game. Why keep paying if clearly the administration just wants the opposite of what the fan base wants
