The premium board is full of sheep…. The Sic'em 365 staff could tell the premium members to go jump off a bridge and they would. I don't take anything Grayson, the Smoaks, Brian etc say or write seriously because they refuse to take the green&gold blinders off

And are we allowed to retroactively grade Aranda's recruiting? Because losing Winfield and Reese is going to hurt despite what the Copeville crew will tell you

IDK, the Smoaks seem pretty fair but Grayson is def a Baylor homer with his 9 win season predictions lately.

Premium board is on par with the public board nowadays, but ya after texas st I realized Grayson is either overly optimistic or he's in Baylor's pockets. Travis is my favorite on staff

I typically find them all pretty honest. David was the one who asked Dave and Mack after the Texas State game is "this was acceptable". I have never seen someone more negative in my life than Craig (about every single topic). Paul does tend to be an FSU homer but I don't believe it impacts his discussions about BU.

100 times more likely to be inundated with FCS players. All those LIU boys would kill to play in our facilities. That's the talent tier we'll see coming in.

A student athlete has to declare intent to transfer. Then the coach can contact them. Then if there is an offer the student has to accept within the given time. Given the quality of coaching we have to offer it's difficult for me to believe we're going to pull in any upgrades in talent. We're going to end up filling our roster with wishful kids who are dreaming of playing D1.

I've only been keeping up with SicEm365 for about a year now, how/why did they form a Baylor talk show if none of them are tied to the school in some way

Yeah, you would think there would be some BU host representation. The guys were on ESPN Central Texas and got done wrong there, and the timing worked for the 365 door to open.

ESPN Central Texas is still a nice alternative. I find them to be brutally honest most times about BU sports although they do play the homer role as well.

I attended the KU/BU game at Phog a few years ago. Honestly didn't think they were that bad.
Worst fan experience I've had was at Ok St. the things hurled at me by OSU students…. Were not pleasant I'll leave it at that.

Iirc Winfield was a 4 star recruit and he enrolled 2022 which means he was recruited 2019-2020. Or possibly earlier.
Was it really Aranda he came for? And be honest, a 4 star receiver and you red shirt then play him 3(?) games next year?

We're exactly 3 months away from reading why he wasn't a fit and 10 months away from watching him hang 150 yards and 3 touchdowns on us.

And it also fully tracks with all my other comments about better quality players on the bench than on the field.

It speaks to Aranda's inability to evaluate talent.

TBH watching him play this season, it's hard to imagine he'd be playing a head of the other WR's right now. He's not a good blocker and seems to run wrong routes out there. This likely goes back to our coaches not developing him, but it's not hard to see why he's not on the field more.
No matter how you slice it, Baylor seems to have wasted a 4-star talent.

If they have any Testosterone, they ain't wanted here, nor will they want to be here... This is not an environment that attracts hard nose football players.

Gary Patterson would have flipped him to defense and made him an all-conference DB.

But Art's main goal was winning. That is not the goal here. This is a nuetering. We are watching Baylor move to being a BB school.

I have NO knowledge, but what it looks like is that it is cheaper to fund M and W BB at the highest level and easier to control 50 athletes than 200. We will keep running a team out there, but there is no serious attempt to win. The press conferences, the AD just mulling around, etc... It looks to me like Rhodes marching orders since Rhule left is to de-fang the Football team and reduce risk. 2021 is a fluke, no one expected it and even Rhodes and the Coaches were shocked. We struggled with Tx St to open that year.

He may go somewhere else and have success. But he is extremely replaceable.

Far too many. There's not a single difference-maker on this entire roster. I hope the "good" players from our 3-9 team stay. But if they leave, I'll wish them well and hope we replace them with better players.

Until we have a new staff recruiting for us, though, I really don't care what happens roster-wise. We need to address the biggest problem before we can even start discussing roster solutions.

I think the roster is the biggest issue and is the direct result of all of the other smaller issues combined. But to your main point, I agree - it's pointless worrying about how the roster is managed until we see a change in coaching staff because no changes will come until they are gone.
