I'm guessing OU is leaning towards their stud prospect Jackson Arnold for next year.
McCord wasn't that impressive and OSU has no problem with having or acquiring another 5 star QB. I'm guessing he was told he's not guaranteed the job next year.

I'm not sure about these guys in particular, but a lot of college football players come from poor families and genuinely need money to send back home. College football has become a minor league. If you start viewing it like you do the NFL, everything makes more sense

It does...except the names on the front of the jerseys and being a fan. That part makes less sense.
Arnold looked pretty bad in his one opportunity to play meaningful minutes. I'd be surprised if they put all their eggs in that basket.Rg6 said:

Sort of like head football coaches.....and their assistants.....and their athletic directors.DanaDane said:
Unless someone offers more money, Gabriel is headed to Miss St with Lebby.
McCord apparently wants $2 to 3 million.
Waco -- The college football of long ago is gone. Any QB, particuarly, with talent is likely to test the market and see if they can improve their current situation.
