I don't really know what this all means. It sounds like it was a group that was created to attract non-Baylor events to the stadium as party of the TIF funding from the city. After 10 years, the TIF obligations have been met, so there is no need for the group anymore and Baylor will assume responsibility for attracting non-Baylor events to the stadium. One thing I thought was interesting in the article was the following:
"One reason for forming a stadium authority was to be able to sell alcohol at non-Baylor events on stadium grounds. The Baylor Club is now poised to assume responsibility for alcohol sales as part of its lease and liquor license, McNair said."
Does this mean we might be seeing alcohol sales at Baylor football games?
Only took the Baylor Board of Regents a few months of meetings and interviews with the Wall Street Journal to dissolve Baylor Football. Special thanks to Allison, Murff, Jeffrey, and Reeter.Vae Victis said:

Posted this in the Bear Cave but essentially yeah, I thought it was part of the city's deal to help with the stadium. Baylor gets help with the stadium and the city creates this "authority" to kinda figure head some sort of recoop for its patronage. Not a bad deal at for Baylor. Isnt Baylor/Waco doing a deal for Foster Pavilion in the same manner?Vae Victis said:

Uh, no. You need a suite for that.

Well you don't allow beer so who do you think is going to come perform. Meanwhile places like Backyard are bringing in the funds for evenets you could have easily hosted

They do allow beer for non-Baylor events, including Baylor Club events and suites during Baylor games but only if you pre-order the alcohol from the Club.
I'm not joking, and yes I know how ridiculous that sounds.
