They probably can't afford him. Most here would look at the list above and complain that they weren't all P5 ADs. Sometimes, perhaps frequently, gems are found in small places.

I think the Boise and UTSA ADs would make good P4 ADs. Of course the Utah AD is already a P4 AD. The other candidates probably would make good P4 ADs as well I just havent done any looking into them.

My guess is that Rhoades is probably lobbying his alma mater on behalf of the Boise guy. As he was Rhoades' top assistant here until 21. As to Rhoades himself, as one of the highest paid ADs in the country, he is probably here as long as Baylor wants him to be or unless or until the likes of a UT, Michigan or Bama knock on his door.

I'd suspect that Mack is certainly on their list of people to talk to, and the fact that he wasn't mentioned makes me think it's him targeted first and foremost. Lol. I know circular logic, but maybe?

Anyway, him leaving isn't the end of the world, just don't know that Linda has it in her these days to make a good hire to replace him.
