The world has changed.
Baylor coaches wore "We Pay Players" T-shirts at training camp Friday, alluding to Dave Aranda's comments at Big 12 media days.

The shirts are part of a new campaign with The NIL Store, with a portion of proceeds going to athletes.

So the shirts should say, "Players Pay Us"??Daveisabovereproach said:
You could make the argument that it's unethical not to pay someone when they bring in millions of dollars for your institution. Yeah yeah, I've heard the 'they get paid with free tuition' etc. argument. I get it, but times have changed. Also, being a Christian isn't really about being ethical, but I digress

if people are willing to pay it, then yes they are worth it. It's basic business. Of course we are all able to determine if they are personally worth it to us but market determines valuejikespingleton said:I heard that one a lot of the years.Daveisabovereproach said:

I think players should be compensated, but we also have to be realistic on what value the average player brings to the table. I'm certain it's not millions of dollars.
Baylor coaches wore these shirts at camp today 👀

I've chosen to sit in the comfort of my own home and watch Baylor games for $10.99/mo ($2.75/game) on ESPN+Daveisabovereproach said:T-REX said:if people are willing to pay it, then yes they are worth it. Yep. something is worth what someone is willing to pay. I could list my house on the market today for 1 million bucks, but I ain't getting that. If mathematics brought in millions of dollars to a university like football does, big money folks would be shelling out the Lamborghini deals to the nerds. But it doesn't, so they don't

When Baylor ends sub-500 again this season they will be roasted and be the laughing stock for social media scorn with this ignoramus t-shirt move. And trust me, it most likely will happen by the opposing team with every loss. Expect it.....
Sports 101: NEVER provide unnecessary bulletin board material to the other teams, and especially the public social media warriors.
Thanks coaching staff.....and @BUFootball. Baylor Football continues its run of a calamity of errors.

It was about 500 million dollars in the case of RG III. And that was just counting his Heisman year.jikespingleton said:I heard that one a lot of the years.Daveisabovereproach said:

Yep, this will come back to bite BU in the backside. Just one more to add to the infinite blunders BU has made in its history . Baylor really needs to just fade away from Big Time, D1 football. Is there ANY other school that would stoop to that level of ineptness. It just boggles my mind. I wish could go back 50+ years and find another school to support. So many times, in public, how embarrassing things like this becomes. The jokes will never end. It's just pathetic from the Admin on down. Stomach already turning.

Not sure most of the football world gives a hoot about a 3-9 team from last year with a coach on the hot seat. We ain't bulletin board material these days, outside of a few forums. If Dion had worn such a shirt the whole college football world would be talking about it.
What do ut and tamu know about ethics?ImABearToo said:
It's causing quite the stir among my ut and tamu friends. Of course they're saying that's not very ethical since we're a private Christian school. Ha.
