They recognize that our high end may not compete with SEC/B1G....but they talk about the number of solid quality teams and how it's gonna be a battle every damn week

About half of our games last year were one possession games. The highest in FBS including G5. 10-2 vs 9-3 would be a very unsurprising conference title. It does hurt because we will only get one team in more than likely but that could result in a very highly viewed championship game like Baylor/Oklahoma State.

Most important is that team that goes showing up. We need TCU vs Michigan and not TCU vs UGA. Not that TCU was ever going to win that game but not a total blowout.

In 2013 oel was calling one of our non conference games on TV. He predicted right there that Baylor would win the Big 12 before the conference games were underway.

Even if we only get one team in....at least there is now a guarantee every year that the B12's best team will make it in. We've never had that before now.

Every team in the B12 now has a clear path...though difficult...to the CFP.

Like Boykin said....hopefully whoever goes reps well.

It kinda bites us in the ass that we are so deep, like everyone else has said, you prolly won't see more than 2 Big12 teams ever go to the playoff, but it will draw lots of eye balls knowing we have some of the most competitive football.

And let's be real, Big10 is extremely boring outside of the Juggernauts

If the Big 12 brings lots of eyeball that means TV ratings and $$$. That's a good thing if it strengthens the league and results in staying power. Maybe some of the suits will redline that a P2 cfb is not very viable and won't produce anything resembling a true national champion.

I still believe the cfb playoffs should resemble March Madness as much as possible with 8 or 16 teams playing elimination games and no one advancing without winning games.
