But... We are probably going to have to wait at least another week for a better shot at a win.

We lose by 17. And I'm only saying 17 instead of 20 because we had a really good week of practice.

Me too. It's already heading toward -10

Unfortunately, this one becomes another notch in the exit door for Aranda.

Where do you see that? From what I'm seeing it's actually dropped a half point to 7 even

Thread full of degenerates.
So you're saying they are 3-0 against teams whose combined record is 12-6?boognish_bear said:
Against B12 competition so far TT beat ASU by 8, beat Cincy by 3, and beat Zona by 6.
Those team's records:
ASU 5-1
Cincy 4-2
Zona 3-3

I'm sure TT will try and make it a high scoring shootout and we aren't built for that.
I'm not really sure what we are built for actually.
What about the other 21 players in the game?monsterbear61 said:
I acknowledge the negative consensus on the board regarding Tech. However, given that Sawyer Robertson is starting his first college game at home near Coronado HS in Lubbock, he is gonna light up the Tech defense. BU by 3 or maybe just a safety!

I do think we will have success throwing the ball against Tech's secondary, which still isn't very good. But we have to prove we can slow a decent offense and avoid making game-breaking mistakes before I'll predict an upset against them or anyone else.monsterbear61 said:

#Baylor football head coach Dave Aranda said Caden Jenkins, Kendrick Simpkins and Carl Williams are all back practicing at 100%.

"We're getting a lot of our skill guys back."
"I'm nervous. Do they come out and play four quarters against us? I expect they do. They haven't stopped playing hard."

Tech fan here...
This is eerily similar to 2022 if you ask me. We were riding high, coming off a win against WVU, with all sorts of upward trend and momentum.
You all were down, coming off a loss. Coming to Lubbock, night game, Patrick Mahomes ring of honor ceremony. Everyone here predicting doom and gloom, no way BU would win, Tech would destroy you, etc. etc. Somewhat similar sentiment on the Tech boards. I don't remember the line, but I think it was at least the same as the current line, maybe even a greater margin.
And what happened? You destroyed us. Whipped us on both sides of the line. Up and down the field. It was never close from the opening kick.
This is all too similar this year going into this game, only difference is not being a night game and the hype is no where near the same level as 2022. But everything else sure seems the same.
As someone who has been following the Red Raiders for 49 years (ever since I was 2 years old), we have a sayin' that you all should find pertinent: "Typical Tech". This game has Typical Tech written all over it. I would not bet your hard-earned money on Tech to win or cover.
Just my two cents.
Unfortunately, that was the last really good, complete game a Dave Aranda-coached team would play.notned said:
