If so, Baylor will be located 90 miles from 2 SEC schools, a fellow XII school and an ACC school and 120 miles from a PAC school.

PAC school almost same longitude as ACC school.

I forgot that the PAC 12 still existed. I mean, why not? Who are their other options?

Yea, out of this group Texas State would not be a bad add on

[Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Utah State, and San Diego State have announced they are officially going to the Pac-12, beginning during the 2026 season. Gonzaga will also be going to the Pac-12 as a non-football member.]

There are two ACC schools located in California now. College football lost the plot a long time ago unfortunately.

So is it a requirement to have "State" in the school name to get into the new P12?

That's not going to work out how they think it is. Texas State might win first season in.

I think UNT may also be a candidate and perhaps UTSA perhaps the 3 Texas schools are candidates for the same slot, I don't know. I can't believe just based on location for travel purposes UTEP is not already in it.

It shows how the only thing the historic PAC has in common with the present is the name and Or St and WSU. It is strange to think Or St and WSU may have conf road games so close to Waco but not in a major conference.

Baylor's season has been full of surprises. Their offense has had some standout moments, but the defense needs more consistency. If they can tighten things up, they have real potential. The upcoming games will be crucial, and how they adjust will determine whether they can turn things around for a strong finish. I was in a complete panic mode when I realized that my term paper deadline was just three days away. I needed help fast and found DoMyPaper, which offers professional paper writing services that we can find here https://domypaper.com/ and I wasn't sure what to expect, but after placing my order, I was relieved to see how efficiently the team handled everything. My paper was delivered before the deadline, properly formatted, and included strong references. I was able to submit it without stress, and I even received positive feedback from my professor. If you're dealing with last-minute academic pressure, this service is a lifesaver!

All these conference shifts have created some interesting results. ASU moves into the XII and immediately ascends to the top. Arizona is always poised to represent in basketball. Those were two good "gets" by the XII. Even if they did come from the "lousy" PAC 10/12.

Will be interested to see how ASU plays out going forward. They were historically very average in football in the PAC. But they're in a conference now where #1 is pretty much open to most anyone. With Texas and Oklahoma gone, NIL really hasn't hindered the XII all that much. All teams have a chance.

I'm not one who believes SC thought it was going to move into the B1G and dominate, although historically USC has a winning record against most of the teams there, including some of the big boys. And with the Rose Bowl, we've played them a lot.

I hope SC is enjoying the money they're getting with the move though, because getting by tOSU, Penn St. and Michigan alone will make any NC run tough going forward. Add Oregon now, and SC will have a tough time of it. The teams in the XII have a much better chance at postseason appearances than SC does.

TX and OK leaving was a gift, and has opened the field up for everyone. And with TX and OK gone, the NIL factor is much less significant for the teams in the new XII.

IMO Texas State would be a great pick up for the PAC.

TX ST has really made a name the last 2 years giving the P2 their transfer football players. That seems like the best recipe to recruit and sales pitch with limited NIL as a mid major. "Come play for us and you'll soon be at Washington or somewhere".
Indiana (2), Baylor (3), Michigan State (1), Oregon (1), Colorado (3), SMU (2), OU (1), Ok St (1), Duke (1), BC (1), Arkansas (1), Kansas (1), UCF (1), Kentucky (1), UCF (1), Virginia Tech (1)
