Your last paragraph is pretty spot on. The margin of error is slim. But I think that's likely the case for Auburn in this one as well. The reports I've read indicate Arnold has looked bad in fall camp (maybe their D is making him look worse than he is). Baylor is going to need to play sound football. No turnovers, limit the penalties, no missed assignments on either side etc. but those are things Auburn will need to do as well. Auburn would need to play lights out and Baylor very poor for this to result in a comfortable Auburn win with all their new pieces.

He's gonna be so confused when that 2 star receiver is blowing past his 4 star defensive players.

Confused? I'm confused as to what I'd be confused about. If your. two star receiver blows past our four star D-backs, more power to you..

What about our four and five star wide receivers vs. your 3 star D backs? Could be a long day. Y'all can hit me if you want to.

I'm trying to have a friendly conversation and provide metrics, and you guys bring up Auburn's loss to New Mexico State from
two years ago, the same year BAYLOR LOST TO Texas state.

Please go ahead and post your own metrics. We all know why you don't; cause you can't find any that cast you in a positive light

Not sure why you took that post as a personal insult, it was literally a rebuttal of your comparison of star recruiting. Josh Cameron was a walk on 2 star. In 2024 he had 750 yard and 10 TD. And he had 8 receptions, 111 yards, and a TD against LSU an SEC defense that had much higher star rank across the board than his 2 star rating. That isn't a rude point it's a rebuttal of your focus on star rating and how it will be confusing if all you see is star rating but then that 2 star burns your 4 stars. It's objective data, don't take it personal. Now will he have the same results against Auburn? I'm not sure as you guys have good talent, no one is doubting that, but just because he's a 2 star doesn't mean he can't light them up.

Waiting a couple of weeks before I do my own comparison.

Put it on paper.

Unfortunately, the Dave Aranda Bears have not been above playing very poorly in a season opener. I'm optimistic that this season will be different and there is no excuse that I can think of as to why that would happen, but it would not be completely out of character.

i think this team understands what this game means for the whole season.. playing a SEC team with the gold chrome domes, there is so much excitement and expectation for this group.
