Briles was great but extremely costly and embarrassing with his crew running discipline. As far as the main stage, Monty's loss was significant and flirtatious feelings with Longhorn caused defeat. Nah, he sucked. Only coached one aspect of the game, and neglected the other two. And he scheduled patsies. We needed some hard-nosed smash mouth NY Giants football. We now have it, and can look forward to 5-6 win seasons, and the occasional 7 wins and the Independence Bowl. That's much better.

It is clear from the internal improvements Rhule is making that you are right - he will be much better than Briles. Smash mouth NY Giants football can win the Big 12. Look how well Alabama did with it back in the early 2000's.
