I'd like to see Miami over Oregon in the final.

Not sure how I would feel about Ole Miss in the title game. Lane Kiffin's team, but not Lane Kiffin's team.

That would be great AND sadly, Kiffin still gets paid.

This really shows why the playoff is flawed. Georgia already beat Ole Miss once this season. The two teams are 1-1 against each other, but the team that won the second game gets to advance. The same situation could occur if Oregon beats Indiana. Conference champions only is the solution.

This happens all the times in pro sports -- and college/high school sports with real postseason tournaments.

That's how playoffs go.

It's about showing up and playing your best late in the year.

The entire world knows what win or go home means come tourney time.

Yes it does.

College football isn't the NFL.

College football isn't college basketball.

You need to make the distinction that you're talking explicitly about Division I FBS college football. Because literally every other level of college football -- and every other level of football, period -- has a real postseason tournament for its playoffs and fans accept/live with the results.

That FBS college football has always been unique (and operated more like international soccer than other American sports) doesn't mean it's been doing things right or that it can't be changed. The sport has, in many ways, been nonsensical for its entire history -- especially when the postseason rolls around.

College football is changing before our very eyes.

The TV money will not go for this.

It does however have a tournament that is "win or go home"
